Dato’ Seri Ahmad Johan Mohammad Raslan

Independent Non-Executive Director

Dato' Seri Ahmad Johan Mohammad Raslan, 66, a Malaysian, is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sime Darby Berhad. He was appointed to the Board on 1 July 2026.

Dato' Seri Ahmad Johan began his career with Robson Rhodes Chartered Accountants in 1981 prior to joining Price Waterhouse in London in 1990. He returned to Malaysia in 1992 to join Price Waterhouse Kuala Lumpur and was admitted as a Partner in 1993. He was involved in the merger with Coopers & Lybrand in 1998 to form PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) and subsequently served as Executive Chairman of PwC Malaysia from 2004 until his retirement in 2012.

Dato' Seri Ahmad Johan has held several government appointments, including Chairman of the Financial Reporting Foundation (2003-2009), member of Bank Negara Malaysia's Financial Stability Executive Committee (2009-2012), and member of the International Advisory Panel of the Labuan Financial Services Authority (2004-2012). He was also the President of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) from 2011 to 2012.

Dato’ Seri Ahmad Johan is currently the Chairman of YTL Digital Bank Berhad and the Audit Oversight Board of the Securities Commission Malaysia, and a Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM). His previous directorships include Eco World International Berhad, AMMB Holdings Berhad and Sime Darby Property Berhad, among others.

Dato’ Seri Ahmad Johan holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) degree in Economics and Accountancy from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. Dato' Seri Johan is also an Eisenhower Fellow.
